AHSA’s Legacy of Collegiate Athletes
While we celebrate our Class of 2025 commits, we also want to recognize the past success stories of AHSA student-athletes who have paved the way:
🏅 Daniel Bravo (Class of 2024) – Committed to Florida International University (FIU) Baseball, competing at the NCAA Division 1 level.
🏅 Jayden Simmons (Class of 2024) – Committed to Georgia Technical College (GTC).
🏀 Jermaine Freeman (Class of 2023) – Committed to Kirkland Community College (KCC) for basketball.
Both Jayden Simmons and Jermaine Freeman played for the Titans at True North Classical Academy, using AHSA’s academics to remain FHSAA & NCAA-eligible while competing at a high level. Their journey shows how AHSA empowers athletes to pursue elite training while staying on track academically.

AHSA Athletes Can Play Sports at Their Local Public or Charter School
One of the key benefits of attending AHSA is that students can compete in sports at their local public or charter school if AHSA does not offer their sport.
According to the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA):
“A student who attends a private school that does not offer a specific sport may participate in that sport at the public school the student would otherwise be zoned to attend, or at a charter school that offers the sport, if the charter school is within the student’s residential school district.”
This game-changing opportunity allows AHSA student-athletes to:
✔ Train and compete at top athletic programs while maintaining academic flexibility
✔ Stay NCAA-eligible with AHSA’s rigorous and accredited curriculum
✔ Pursue scholarships and college opportunities while getting the best of both worlds
This flexibility has helped AHSA students excel at schools like True North Classical Academy (Titans) and Braddock High School (Bulldogs), allowing them to train, compete, and get recruited while receiving a top-tier education.
