American High School Academy
Digital Blended-Learning Academy
There are many ways to homeschool your child, but in Florida you have two basic options under FS 1002.41:
- Homeschooling under the homeschool statute: filing a notice of intent with the local superintendent’s office, choosing a curriculum, maintaining a portfolio of educational records, and preserving them for two years, and providing annual evaluations to the superintendent. The homeschool local office does not issue high school diplomas.
- Enrolling your child under an umbrella school: Florida has parents' choice to enroll their child under private, public, charter, or homeschool.
AHSA can offer you the benefits of attending a private non-traditional school on a flexible schedule while being taught by our Educational Specialist utilizing the most educational curriculum based on the needs of your child. AHSA gives you the opportunity to personalize your learning experience aligned to state standards. Our innovative blended learning options helps students grades 6-12 develop the skills necessary to succeed in school and close the learning gaps. We offer many academic pathways to earn your credits toward a high school diploma and graduate from AHSA.
