Student life
Key Club
American High School Academy is a proud charter member of Key Club International.
Service, leadership and fellowship
The Kiwanis Key Club is all about service, leadership and fellowship. It’s a wonderful opportunity for students to make a difference in their community while developing valuable skills. Key Club International is a global network of clubs and members who partner with each other and with organizations whose missions align with theirs.
We encourage all American High School Academy students to get involved:
Attend a meeting
Key Club meetings are a great place to start. Watch the News & Announcements page for the next meeting date. Meetings cover ongoing projects, upcoming events and how new members can take part.
Volunteer
Key Club offers many volunteer opportunities. Visit the AHSA Key Club page to sign up for events and start contributing to the community.
Become a leader
Run for a leadership role in the club, such as President, Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer.
Take part in events
Key Club hosts events throughout the year. Taking part helps the community and helps students build their skills.
AHSA is a member of Key Club Florida
About Key Club Florida
Key Club Florida is a branch of the Florida District of Kiwanis and part of Key Club International, the oldest and largest service program for high school students. It is a student-led organization that teaches leadership through service to others.
How it works
Key Club Florida is made up of 42 divisions across Florida, the Cayman Islands and the Turks and Caicos Islands, and has served its 22,000+ members since 1939. Key Clubbers are part of a global network of clubs and members who partner with each other and with organizations whose missions align with theirs.
Benefits to schools and students
As members of the Kiwanis International family, Key Club members build themselves as they build their schools and communities. The club gives members opportunities to serve, build character and develop leadership, and promotes higher standards in scholarship, sportsmanship and social contacts.
Impact on the community
Key Club Florida is committed to serving the community. It provides a practical way to form lasting friendships, render unselfish service and build better communities, and helps create the sound public opinion and high idealism that make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism and goodwill.
