American High School Academy

Credit Recovery Program

American High School Academy's Credit Recovery Program allows full-time students enrolled in public / private high schools to take the credits they require to meet their school's graduation requirements.

SCENARIOS FOR CREDIT RECOVERY

When are Credit Recovery Courses a good idea?

American High School Academy's credit recovery courses are self-contained, independent study units designed to supplement your school's existing curriculum.

The Credit Recovery Program is also an effective and proven way to help students earn high school credits in courses they did not pass the first time around.

As such, credit recovery is the solution students need to effectively deal with a variety of situations, including:

  • Behind in credits
  • Suspension/Expulsion
  • Failing grades
  • Illness/health
  • Pregnancy
  • Substance Abuse

Credit recovery courses are also the solution for students who wish to graduate early, to take on as extra courses as extracurricular activities, or when a desired course or subject isn't offered in their home school.

GUARANTEED CREDIT TRANSFER

Open Online Enrollment!

Students can now apply to enroll in credit recovery courses using our online application form.

  • Credit recovery course curriculums are provided online for home-based study or in-person study.
  • In-person (classroom study) is available as
    • 5 days in classroom per week (25 hours) or
    • 3 days in classroom (15 hours) + 2 days virtual classroom (10 hours) 25 hours per week.

All courses completed through Credit Recovery will be designated as "CR" on the student transcript.

Before completing the online application form, please note:

American High School Academy requires an official or school counselor sign a credit recovery authorization form that guarantees the successful credit transfer of the makeup courses to the student's official student record before enrollment. This requirement provides confirmation to students and their family that the classes will transfer back to their home school.

Alternatively, if the student is working with a student counselor at their home school they can provide their school and student counselor's name when completing the application form, and we will work directly with the home school to ensure authorization and guarantee credit transfer.
