AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL ACADEMY

Alternative Education Programs

According to the National Center on Secondary Education and Transition (NCSET), a child drops out of high school every nine seconds.

American High School Academy’s alternative education and dropout recovery programs help communities combat the staggering social and economic costs of high dropout rates. Since 2003, American High School Academy has educated more than 100,000 at-risk students, and students who have previously dropped out – and introduced them to all the opportunities a real high school diploma provides.

American High School Academy provides alternative education programs for high school and adult students who have dropped out or who are at risk of dropping out of school.  A flexible schedule with morning, afternoon, and in some cases, evening sessions means students don’t have to choose between life and school. American High School Academy offers academic, social and behavioral support so that students earn their high school diplomas and are prepared to make positive choices about the future.

American High School Academy utilizes a number of research-based curriculum resources to deliver its instructional model. Initial and ongoing teacher-led instruction is tailored to ensure each student earns the necessary credits to arrive at graduation in accordance with his or her success plan. American High School Academy’s rigorous and relevant academic programs are accredited and aligned to Common Core and state-specific standards.

American High School Academy partners with school districts and operates programs for alternative education, credit recovery and dropout prevention and recovery.

Many public & private schools partner with American High School Academy to provide alternative programs for credit recovery, dropout prevention and dropout recovery. Regardless of the reason they attend, 94 percent of high school students successfully complete their enrollment at American High School Academy, graduate or return to their district school closer to or at grade level.
