What is Accreditation? Accreditation is a voluntary process of self-evaluation and continuous improvement that reflects compliance with required standards/indicators; involves a self-study; and includes a peer review by educators from outside the school.


American High School Academy is registered/listed with the Florida Department of Education "District 13 School # 4283" as required by section 1002.42(2)(h) of the Florida Statue, is registered/listed with the U.S. Department of Education's National Center for Education Statistics "NCES School ID: A0509036", and is Accredited by AAHSA a Non-Profit National & International accrediting body.  American High School Academy is also an A rated accredited member of the Better Business Bureau to assure quality service to all students, and is an institutional member of "NDPN" National Dropout Prevention Network, who serve as a research center and resource network for practitioners, researchers, and policymakers to reshape school and community environments to meet the needs of youth in at-risk situations, so these students receive the quality education and services necessary to succeed academically, and graduate from high school. American High School Academy is a bronze business member of the "EIA" Education Industry Association, founded in 1990, EIA is the premier professional association for private providers of education services and suppliers/developers of educational content. EIA is the industry’s collective voice, and represents all education sectors: from early childhood, through post-secondary education. EIA works to expand educational opportunities and improve educational achievement for learners of all ages through the values of public/private partnerships, innovation and accountability. EIA promotes public policies consistent with market-based reform. EIA works to ensure that its members who are Supplemental Education Service (SES) providers under NCLB have fair and equitable access to serving eligible students. The EIA is supported by a sister organization, the Education Industry Foundation (EIF), incorporated as a 501(C) (3) for educational purposes. American High School Academy is also registered with the "College Board" and is listed in their National Secondary School List for SAT, PSAT / NMSQT, PLAN, & ACT Assessments required for applying to most Universities and Scholarships. Lastly, American High School Academy’s health care programs are approved by the American Health and Safety Institute; who’s mission is to continually improve safety and health education by promoting high standards for members, principles of sound research for curriculum development and the professional development of safety and health Instructors worldwide. ASHI works on a regular and ongoing basis with federal, state, and local authorities to ensure regulatory compliance. ASHI programs have been reviewed by and/or satisfy the requirements of the Department of Labor, Occupational Safety & Health Administration (DOL/OSHA), the Department of Homeland Security and the United States Coast Guard (DHS/USCG). ASHI programs are also recognized, endorsed, accepted or approved by state regulatory agencies, including those licensing Emergency Medical Services, child care, education, public health, labor and others. Additionally, ASHI programs have been found acceptable for meeting requirements established by a wide variety of professional associations, councils, academies and boards.

American High School Academy was granted Full Accreditation from AAHSA in 2004 and was reaffirmed in 2006, 2008, 2011 then again in January 2015. The next comprehensive evaluation visit by AAHSA will be conducted in January 2018.
